NATIONAL ACTIVITY
Currently Uz-Daewoo is looking for Indian support
in the development of following Components:
| Engines & Transmissions |
Steering Systems |
| Shock Absorbers |
Wipers |
| Door Handle Systems |
Castings & Forgings |
| Component
Suppliers to Uz-Daewoo Auto and Samkoc Auto |
- Engines come from its joint venture partners
- Component manufacturers transport their products
once or twice a day & do not hold buffer
stocks of finished goods
- Delivery time in most cases is 1-2 hours
- Most of the vehicle and component plants visited,
have huge excess capacities.
- Investment in plant & machinery is very
high
- The production process is very efficient
- As sole suppliers and not being exposed to
competitive overseas markets, the component
manufacturers are not concerned about quality
certification
|
The Mission was a very successful one
and credit goes to Uzavtosanoat, Uz-Daewoo and the Indian
Embassy in Tashkent. Uzavtosanoat, with the support
of Uz-Daewoo, put together an excellent programme of
meetings, plant visits and one-to-one interaction with
the Company's Vendor Development Engineers.
The Automotive Component Manufacturers Association,
sincerely thanks all three organisations for the excellent
visit and wonderful hospitality.
