NATIONAL ACTIVITY

Currently Uz-Daewoo is looking for Indian support in the development of following Components:

Engines & Transmissions Steering Systems
Shock Absorbers Wipers
Door Handle Systems Castings & Forgings

Component Suppliers to Uz-Daewoo Auto and Samkoc Auto

  • Engines come from its joint venture partners
  • Component manufacturers transport their products once or twice a day & do not hold buffer stocks of finished goods
  • Delivery time in most cases is 1-2 hours
  • Most of the vehicle and component plants visited, have huge excess capacities.
  • Investment in plant & machinery is very high
  • The production process is very efficient
  • As sole suppliers and not being exposed to competitive overseas markets, the component manufacturers are not concerned about quality certification

The Mission was a very successful one and credit goes to Uzavtosanoat, Uz-Daewoo and the Indian Embassy in Tashkent. Uzavtosanoat, with the support of Uz-Daewoo, put together an excellent programme of meetings, plant visits and one-to-one interaction with the Company's Vendor Development Engineers.

The Automotive Component Manufacturers Association, sincerely thanks all three organisations for the excellent visit and wonderful hospitality.
