ENTRY, R&D INTO CLUTCH AUTO LTD : 24.1.2002, FARIDABAD
The ACMA Secretariat Staff was part of
the gathering invited to share the proud moment
when Clutch Auto Ltd inaugurated its own R&D
Department.
Mr. V K Mehta, Past President ACMA and Vice Chairman
& Managing Director, Clutch Auto Ltd, introduced
his new R & D Department, giving the floor
to his R&D Staff for a brief introduction
to the different sectors of the Department.
The R&D facility is supported by two external
Consultants from the U.K.; there are 4 sections
in R&D, each separately headed by Design &
Development Managers all of whom report directly
to the Executive Director.
The Company's R&D is backed by the in-house
facility for Quality Assurance through a Standard
Room for calibration and dimensional co-ordinate
easurements and Tool Room for development of new
tools and prototype.
This new facility, said Mr. Mehta, would test
the clutches to conform to the Indian habits of
driving and by so doing, increase the life of
the component by 100%, in terms of mileage! |
