Awareness Programme on ISO / TS-16949: 5th July 2000, New Delhi

With many Quality System Certifications prevalent the world over, they pressures on exporting auto component manufacturers to adhere to various certification in different countries, was enormous. In order to ease this pressure, the International Automotive Task Force was set up in Europe. All major European Vehicle Manufacturers came to a consensus on finding an alternate Single Quality Standard – thus the advent of the new Quality Standard TS-16949.

on the Policy requirements of the Standard TS –16949 and how it could be maintained. The comparative analysis, easily explained to participants the difference between QS 9000 (used by most firms in India) and the new TS-16949.

The "horns", it would seem was well taken, and well presented as the houseful of 50 participants, indicated.

Two Day Training Programme on Magnificent Seven Q.C.Tools : 7-8 July 2000, Ludhiana

The fundamental requirement for maintenance of any quality system is Magnificent Seven Q.C Tools. This "Magnificent Seven" was presented by ACMA (NR) on a two day training programme to its membership, in Ludhiana.

Prof. A N Nankana, who has expert knowledge of the Magnificent 7, conducted an excellent programme which was made more interesting by an interactive audience comprising of 25 participants from member companies in and around Ludhiana.

Feedback from participants suggest, working on a cluster approach for companies in Ludhiana, for the implementation of Seven Q C Tools.
