Automechanika 2000, Frankfurt : September 6-10, 2000

ACMA regretfully could not confirm participation to more members, this year, as the 200 sqm additional space requested by ACMA was not available Exhibitors were 39 in number, representing 20% of the total turnover of the component industry.

Despite the lack of space which forced a reduction in the Common Area, ACMA set up information Centres at two locations which were very successful and recorded enquiries almost double that of 1998. Interested countries were Germany, U.S.A. Great Britain, South Africa, Australia, Spain, Turkey, Italy, Middle East, Canada, Eastern Europe, Algeria, Morocco, Jordan, Columbia, ASEAN countries, etc... IGEP shared the information space with ACMA and was there, lending support both prior and through the duration of the Fair.

New dimensions to the 2000 participation were:

• The 12 "first timer" companies taking 25% of the total area.
• The Business centre which apart from being equipped with telephone, fax, photocopier, had the added convenience of an Internet facility.
• ACMA placing on its website for greater visibility, information on the Product and Catalogue Exhibitors which could be accessed and continues to be online for better business promotion
